StrongVPN Review

I have been using streaming services such as Netflix, VUDU, Hulu Plus, PBS, NPR, Pandora and scuh for over a year. I consider myself a highly-demanding internet user because I used paralell browsing while streaming, hence I care for the quality and stability of my connection very much. As such, I have a high quality optic-fiber >20Mbps in Mexico (my current residence) which is impeccable, and I needed a US VPN service which would match the quality of the VPN connection to my demanding needs. After testing four or five freebies from companies such as HideMyAss, ibVPN and such that offer good pricing. They all lacked what to me seemed the most important factor : Reliability. These VPN connections proved difficult to configure and had many protocol qualms with different ISPs in Mexico. From the moment I bought, configured and tested my 4-city-US special deal package to test StrongVPN I was flabbergasted and happy. Support and FAQs for configuration were crystal clear even though I configured and flashed a DD-WRT router. The service is ALWAYS up and running and the speeds NEVER falls down (I get > 6 Mbps CONSTANTLY) which to a Netflix/Hulu/VUDU streamer is a symbol of quality high definition video and 5.1 sound stream. Even though thisi is "only" a PPTP service. I can´t begin to imagine how secure and fast would be an OpenVPN from them. Since I have connected, it has NEVER disconnected me and the server maintenance are once or twice a year for merely hours. They offer you a good amount of server switches which I don´t use since ALL the servers provide a stable and fast service in all four US city servers. Overall, I haven´t found a substitue for StrongVPN, I have even brought my "StrongVPN" router to a number fo different speed Mexican ISPs and I always get 80-90% the originla speed (Megacable, infinitum). Strong VPN has a likewise support area, which has always attended to me in minutes and they stay with you all the time, which is a plus. Server switching is fast, secure and intelligent (via email, no throttling). Billing and sales are crystal clear and easy to use, too. I cannot but recommend highly this service to anybody within Mexican boundaries who wants a top-quality VPN service with high demand for spee3d, quality and stability. Adrian Vazquez
